A legal career can be as rewarding as it is challenging.  Michelle helps lawyers develop and implement strategies to help them get the most out of their careers by partnering with them in two key areas:

Business Development

Let’s cut to the chase: You didn’t go to law school to develop business.  I know.  Me either.  And yet here we are.  If you want to succeed in Biglaw, business development is no longer optional. Gone are the days of finders, minders, and grinders. In modern Biglaw, everyone needs to learn to be a finder.

And although everyone is expected to develop business, neither law schools nor law firms have figured out how to help lawyers create and execute a sustainable business development strategy.

That’s where I come in.

I work with lawyers to help them develop an individualized approach to business development based on their interests, strengths, experience, and the competitive advantages of their practice groups and law firms.  I also provide accountability and support to lawyers as they implement those plans.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Lawyers have emotions and are intelligent.  What more do they need to know about emotional intelligence?  In many cases, a lot.

Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to:

  1. Identify,
  2. Understand, and
  3. Use your emotions in an intentional way.

I help lawyers develop their emotional intelligence so they can:

  • Manage their stress;
  • Set and achieve meaningful goals;
  • Motivate and inspire their teams; and
  • Develop stronger relationships with clients, colleagues, and loved ones.
